Happy Wednesday and welcome to day 3 of the Taylored Expressions Sneak Peeks for September.  Today I have two more cards to show you featuring the new stamp set C’mon Get Happy along with some adorable new dies, Mini Bloomers and Bloomers Greenery.

0GetHappyJami3 (Medium)

For my first card, I tried embossing the sentiment in white (white ink and white powder) on to Tim Holtz watercolor paper.  The result was cool, but a little hard to read.  So, in the sample below, I used black pigment ink and clear embossing powder and I switched to the smooth side of the watercolor paper.  In both samples, I used Twinkling H2O’s  to paint over the embossed sentiment. (Click on them to see them larger.)

For this card, I cut the blooms from watercolor paper and painted them with the same Twinkling H2O’s used over the sentiment.  The photo just doesn’t capture the pearly, sparkly happiness of this card!

Welcome to Day 2 of the Taylored Expressions September Sneak Peeks.  TE has a new stamp set coming out that I am particularly excited about it.  It’s called C’mon Get Happy.  I don’t know about you, but I love making cards just for the fun of doing it.  I especially love scene building.  But often, when I am almost done, I struggle to find the right sentiment.  I often want something generic, like “thinking of you” or “just because”, or “sending you smiles” and that’s where this set comes in.  It’s a bunch of simple, happy sentiments both large and small to finish off just about any card!

Today I have two similar cards to share with you.  I’ll tell you why they are so similar, after you take a look.  First is the card I set out to make.

0gethappytreesJami (Medium)

This card features the new Build-a-Scene Trees.  As soon as I got these dies, I knew I wanted to create some pink trees!  Happy, right?  Hard to see in the photo, but the sentiment was stamped in black pigment ink and heat embossed with kaleidoscope embossing powder for a softer sparkly look.

Here’s my second sample.

0gethappyicecreaamJami (Medium)

This time I paired the sentiment with the new Little Bits – Ice Cream Sundae die and added one of the banners from Skinny Mini Party Borders die set.

So why are these cards so similar?  Well, I started off to execute my vision for the first card, but before I got the trees adhered I somehow managed to smudge black ink along that bottom white portion of the main panel.  Have you ever done that?  I was so sad, but I started over.  When I was done with the tree card, I decided there had to be a way to save my first attempt.  I sliced that bottom portion off and away I went!  The lesson here:  don’t be too quick to give up and throw something in the trash!

Today marks the first day of sneak peeks for the Taylored Expressions September 2015 release, but more than that…this week we celebrate TE’s 7th birthday!  That’s crazy!  It seems like just yesterday that Taylor was telling me about her vision for her first stamp sets!  TE has come a long way, baby!  This release is all the evidence you’l need.  I got started stamping and I couldn’t stop!  I’ll have samples to share all week.  I can’t remember the last time I had this much fun stamping!

Today, my card features a fun new cutting plate and the newest Matched Kit (patterned paper and solid cardstock.)

0presentsplateJami (Medium)

The Presents Cutting Plate gives you the stack of gifts inside the border.  It also comes with the pieces to put behind each gift so you can make them any color you want.  The Happy Birthday Banner comes separately and I know I’ll be using it a A LOT!  So many possibilities to make quick and fun birthday (AND Christmas) cards with this.  Just change up the colors and it works for gals, guys, kids, anyone really!

It’s Dare to Get Dirty time over at Splitcoaststampers!   If you’re not familiar with this, it’s a week of fun challenges for Fan Club Members hosted by the Dirty Dozen Design Team and Dirty Dozen Alums.  Lots of people set aside the entire week to play, play, and play some more!  If you’re not already a Fan Club member, it’s easy to sign up.  Today I have a sample for my sweet friend, Lori Craig’s challenge.   I can hardly believe it has been 9 years since I had the privilege of being on the DD design team.  I don’t get over to SCS very much anymore, but it was once a huge part of my daily life and I made so many friends throughout those years.  When Lori asked me to make a sample, I had to say YES!

DTGD 2015 Jami Sibley doodle challenge copy (Medium)

I had actually colored this image a couple of months ago when we were on vacation in our 5th wheel up in Morro Bay and it had been sitting on my stamp table ever since.  I knew right away that it would fit with Lori’s challenge.  You’ll have to head over to SCS to get the challenge details and play along though!

Of course I got all the supplies at Taylored Expressions.  The stamp image is from the set In Other Words – Tea.  I doodled the border and hand-wrote the sentiment as well as added a little bit of doodling to embellish some of the images.

A huge thanks to Lori for making sure I got involved!  Love you, Girl!

And thanks to all of you for stopping by today.  I haven’t been stamping as much as I would like and I’ve been blogging even less.  Maybe I’ll get back into a more regular swing of sometime, but for now I’ll just be happy to check in whenever I can!

It’s release Day at Taylored Expressions!  I hope you’ve been following all the sneak peeks this week, because wowzas is there ever some CUTE stuff available today!  I have a couple more samples to share today.

First up is a card/gift bag featuring the new Peek-a-Boo Circles die and the new Bloomers 1 layering flower die set.  I needed to package the set of cards I showed on Tuesday as a thank you gift, and I needed to do it quickly. Here’s what I came up with.

JamiThursBloomersbag (Medium)

I attached the card right to a kraft bag, so it is both the card and the bag decoration.  Here’s the card before it was attached.

JamiThursbloomerscard (Medium)

Sentiment, embossed in white, is from In & Out Thanks.  Here’s the cool thing about this new Peek-a-Boo Circles die – it has stitch lines around the circle and emboss lines on either side of the row of circles to give a little definition.  It can be placed anywhere on a panel or even right on your card front for a single layer card.  Of course, you can also die cut from a panel and trim it down at the emboss lines.  So, you can get a ton of different looks from this die.  And, I’m loving these Bloomers 1 dies – 3 layers with so many possibilities.

My second sample for today is probably my favorite of this week.  It’s just so HAPPY!

JamiThursday double tree cutting plate (Medium)

I’ve used the new On the Line Cutting Plate with the Build-a-Scene Matched Kit (patterned papers and cardstock).  The chinese lanterns come with the cutting plate, as do a set of pennants! My favorite part is the separate tree tops with the partially cut out leaves that you can pop up for dimension!  I added the Picket Fence Border die and the Grass Border die and a sentiment from In the Word and I was done.  This one just makes me smile!

All of the new products are available NOW in the Taylored Expressions Store, but before you shop, I think you’ll want to HOP!  Go to the TE Blog for the roll of designers playing today and featuring all the new release products!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

This week, Taylored Expressions is sneak peeking the June Release which happens this Thursday morning, June 4th.  I’m always happy when I get to play along!  Today, I’m excited to show off a new stamp set called Sip,Sip Hooray!  This adorable set lets you create cute carts of all kinds: lemonade, flowers, ice cream, candy,  and hot dogs and it includes some great sentiments in super cute fonts!  There is also an awesome coordinating die set, but I got my stamps before my dies and just couldn’t wait to play, so you’ll see my samples were created with the use of my favorite tool – my stamp-a-majig!  It’s a lot easier than you might think.  If you have not made friends with your stamp-a-majig yet, you are really missing out!

Above, you can see my entire little card set.  I created this as a special little hostess gift.  I started by stamping the various images on white cardstock.  Then I pulled out my TE Matched Kit – Rainbow Brights and chose a color for each card.  Then I matched up some Copic markers and got to coloring.

Here are shots of the individual cards.

Finishing touches include one rounded corner, a narrow black matting layer, and a few Doodlebug sequins. (The sequins I used are no longer in the store, but the Matched Kit has sequins to coordinate with it, so that’s even better!)

JamiTuesCart candy (Medium)

There was a perfect left over strip from cutting the patterned paper that I used on the inside of each card.

For the purple candy cart, I added an inside sentiment from In & Out Birthday.

JamiTuesCart Lemonade (Medium)

And there you have it – a super fun and super simple card set.  I can’t wait to play some more with this set and try out the dies!  You’ll want to hop over to the TE Blog for the roll of all the girls playing in the hop today and also to have a chance to enter a drawing to win a TE prize!  Thanks so much for stopping by today!

WooHoo!  All of the new products for April are now available at Taylored Expressions!  Today I have another sample featuring Simply Stamped – Zinnias.  This time I kept it super simple and didn’t even use the dies.

The colors for my blooms today are SU Blushing Bride, Strawberry Slush, and Real Red.  It’s looking a little orange-y in the photo, but it’s a beautiful pink-y/red IRL!  I cut my image with TE Label Stacklets 2 and the background was created with the Leafy Vine Embossing Folder.  I am currently addicted to brayering ink inside these folders before running them through the Big Shot.  It just gives that extra little punch of subtle dimension!

To see a plethora of adorable samples of all the new stamps and dies, hop over to the Taylored Expressions Blog for the Baker’s Dozen blog roll of players today!  Happy hopping and happy shopping!
