Happy Monday! I’m entering my third week at my new job and it’s Easter week…pretty much the most important week of the year at a church.  It should be exciting!  I’m looking forward to what’s in store.  Another very exciting thing this week is the coming April Release for Taylored Expressions.  There’s so much fun stuff to show you and I’m excited to participate along with the Baker’s Dozen in some of the sneak peeks this week.  You have several opportunities to win free stamps, so be sure to check them out below and play along!
April Release At a Glance

  • We have sneak peeks to share Monday through Wednesday.  All of the new products will be available for purchase on Thursday, April 5th at 8 am PST. You’ll find it all in the Fresh out of the Oven Department at the Taylored Expressions Store.
  • Join us as a fan on Facebook for an early peek at the stamp sets, as well as a SPECIAL Facebook GIVEAWAY, on Wednesday night beginning at approximately 6 pm PST.
  • Mystery Baker’s Dozen Blog Giveaway: Each day, one lucky blog commenter will be chosen by random draw to win a $10 TE Gift Certificate.  Winners will be chosen from a different Baker’s Dozen blog each day and will be announced on Taylor’s blog on Release Day!  Be sure to hop around to see all the sneak peeks and leave comments on each and every blog for more chances to win. Limit one comment per blog per day, please.  Comments for the drawings close Wednesday 4/4 at 7pm PST.
Today we are introducing two new Full-sized stamp sets, the London Market Project Pantry and several new Taylored Dies.  My first card features the new stamp set Fruity Friends.  This ADORABLE set was the brainchild of Baker’s Dozen team member, Wanda Guess, and it was brought to life by the illustrations of Emily Burger for the Embracing Grace collection.  You are just going to love the sweet simplicity and playfulness of this stamp set!

The patterned paper on this card is from the Echo Park This & That Graceful 6×6 Pad.  I paired it with some Lucky Limeade cardstock and some TE Choice Buttercream cardstock.  I stamped that sweet strawberry twice and colored them with copics, adding a little bit of stickles to the leaves.  The image was die cut with a Spellbinders rectangle and I sponged some Saffron ink on the panel while it was still in the die.  Then I added piercing all around.  The image panel was layered onto a mat cut with Spellbinder Big Scallop Rectangle and some pink liquid pearls were added.
Fruity Friends is such a fun set to play with.  I’m envisioning some simple and cute notecard sets for gifts.
My next sample is a large tag featuring another Full-sized set, Make It Amazing, along with the new London Market Project Pantry papercrafting kit.  Make It Amazing was illustrated by Nancy McKinney as part of the Whimsical Wishes line and it is breathtakingly beautiful!  The London Market Project Pantry is one of my all-time favorite kits from TE!  In fact, I might have done more than just a little begging (along with some of the BD girls) at CHA for this London Market 6×6 paper from Pink Paislee. So so so so so so PRETTY!!  So, here’s my tag.
I started with a piece of Buttercream cardstock from the Project Pantry cut to 3″ x 6″ and I covered that with a piece of the London Market paper. I distressed the edges with some Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink (new in the TE Store.) I stamped the frame and sentiment and sponged it Antique Linen Distress Ink before  die cutting it with the new coordinating Frame It Up 3 Taylored Die.  That was covered in Crackle Accents and popped up on foam squares.  The butterflies were stamped onto more London Market patterned papers and then die cut with the coordinating Elegant Butterflies Taylored Dies.  They were shaped and covered in Glossy Accents before being adhered to the tag.  Ribbons are from the Project Pantry.  I added a wide eyelet at the top for the ribbon to thread through.  The finishing touch is a Prima Petal Pin.
Here are the dies I used:
I know you are going to LOVE what all the girls have to show today!  Let’s see what the Baker’s Dozen has cooked up!
Thanks for stopping by today!  Don’t forget to leave comments as you hop for opportunities to win TE prizes!  Speaking of comments – we finally broke down and bought a Keurig coffee maker this weekend.  I’m looking for any and all opinions on favorite K-cups and best places to purchase them.  I prefer a milder blend of coffee and it seems to me that a lot of the K-cups are a bolder/stronger blend.  I’d also really like to find a good decaf!  60 K-cups (in 12 varieties) came with the machine and we are having fun trying them out. Looking forward to what everyone has to say!
