Today’s peeks are all about the American Heartland as we show you the full sized set Green Acres, two Petite sets – 4th of July Wreath and Uncle Sam, and the newest double-sided Taylored Impression Plate – Chicken Wire/Wood Grain.

My first sample combines the Uncle Sam Penguin Petite set with the 4th of July Wreath Petite set.  The layout is Karen’s Sweet Sunday Sketch (SSSC119).  Papers are from the Webster’s Pages Spring Market/Yacht Club/Country Estate 6×6 Petite Pack.  This pack of papers has patterns that will work great with everything we are showing you today, as well as all the beachy stuff we previewed on Tuesday.

The wreath image was die cut with the Seasonal Wreath Taylored Die that works with all 5 stamp sets in this series illustrated by Nancy McKinney (and originally concepted by me.) The wreath is popped up on small foam squares. The red polka dot inverted scallop is a left over piece from using the Medium Scallop Border Die on one of my cards on Tuesday.  Card base is SU Cherry Cobbler.

I know that many of you enjoy making cards for the troops and both of these Petite sets are perfect for that along with patriotic holiday invites, decor and scrapbooking!  The wreath is a must-have for those of you who have Americana decor in your homes.

My next card features Green Acres illustrated by Doug Applegate for the Apple Doodle Ink line.  This is my very most FAVORITEST set (yea I know that’s not a word *snort*) of the entire release.  I’ve already made 5 cards with this set and have lots more rolling around in my head.  I had to make myself put it away, so I could play with the other new goodies.  LOL!  I don’t know why this city girl loves farm images so much, but I do.  And this is about the cutest farm set I have ever seen.  It is chock full of images and punny sentiments.  Plus it has 2 sentiments that coordinate with It’s a Banner Day 1 and the Banner Day 1 Die.   Not only that, but many of the images from Hello Spring (including those adorable sheep) will work with this set too! So here’s my first sample with Green Acres.

I freehand cut the hills from Melissa Frances Kitchy Kitch 6×6 paper. The other dp is from Lily Bee This & That which is my favorite to go with this stamp set.  The 2 cows on top were stamped using a stamp-a-majig directly on the card after the hills were adhered.  The cow in the middle was stamped on a separate piece of cardstock and cut out and adhered, as was the hay stack. I pierced holes around the edge and on the hills for a little extra touch.  Here’s the inside of the card using Banner Day 1 –

I’ll be back tomorrow for Release Day with another bovine card!  In the meantime, let’s see what the Baker’s Dozen has cooked up today.  Remember that you will be entered into a drawing for a TE gift certificate by leaving a comment on each blog post.  Deadline to enter is 7 pm PST tonight.
