TESC85 Wings of Joy
October 2nd, 2009
Happy Friday! Ready for another fun sketch challenge from Taylor? Not only do I have a sample for TESC85 today, but I also managed to sneak in a little peek of one of the new TE stamp sets to be released tomorrow. *GRIN* This set is right up my alley so I really just couldn’t resist. It’s called Wings of Joy and it’s all about adorable birdie images for the holidays. I know I’ve talked lots about Tessa over the past few months, so some of you may not realize how bird-centric our home really is. We have had 2 macaws for about 16 years now and belive it or not, Beaker and R.B. have priority over Tessa. Even before owning birds, I have always loved bird stamps. That being said, I’m pretty picky about which ones I like and I am absolutely smitten with the birds Nancy has created for this set!
This card features one of the birdies from Wings of Joy along with elements (cardstock, Jolly By Golly papers, ribbon, chipboard snowflake) from the Christmas Key Ingredients also to be released tomorrow. The birdie is colored with Copics and highlighted with a little glitter. The swirls are stamped with Sage Shadow ink and I added a little sponged ink as well. I stamped the sentiment inside the circle frame from TE Berries & Cherries and punched with a 1 3/4″ circle punch. I colored the 2 rings with Copics and then covered the whole piece with Versamark and heat embossed it with clear ep. It’s popped up on foam tape. The snowflake was colored with a red Copic and then covered with Versamark and heat embossed with Irridescent Ice ep. A few green KaiserCraft rhinestones finish off the design.
I hope you’ll play in the sketch challenge with us. You can get all the details on Taylor’s blog today. Let’s see what the rest of the sketch crew has cooked up:
Plus if you’d like to see even more samples featuring Wings of Joy, you can hop over to see all the Baker’s Dozen creations:
Are you geared up for World Card Making Day tomorrow? I’m planning to stamp like crazy! And I’ll be back in the morning to share another card I’ve already made this week. Thanks for stopping by.

Darling indeed, Jami! I just had to smile at your discussion about R.B. & Beaker … I love their names, and can totally relate to their family importance. I loved my first parakeet for over 12 years … and still dash over to the bird cages at pet stores. Anyway, I wanted to wish you a most Happy World Card Making Day! Enjoy your weekend!
(((hugs)))
