More is More

I knew someone who did that once!

That’s the Inky Antics sentiment I used on this Ronnie card.  *grin*  I can sooooo relate!

This card was done for the sketch challenge on SCS that is part of the Mini VSN held last Friday night.  There was no time limit (unlike the usual VSN format) and you have two weeks to play and upload.  The sketch was perfect for this image I had already colored with Copic markers (remember a few weeks ago when I got to use Joy and Taylor’s markers?  I still have images ready to use!)  This Ronnie image by Inky Antics available at eclectic Paperie was colored to coordinate with a sheet of SU Dashing designer paper.  I love this paper and you’ll be seeing a lot more of it here since I am designing my whole Christmas class around it!

Card base is River Rock layered with Real Red and Regal Rose (stamped with Doodle That in Regal Rose).  When I was in Portland Jess and I were thrilled to find River Rock brads by American Crafts at Paper Zone.  I could hardly wait to use them.  What the heck did I do before the ticket corner punch???  For the sentiment I just colored the one word with a red marker and stamped it for the front.  Then I cleaned the stamp thoroughly and inked the rest of the sentiment with red marker for the inside of the card.

Before I made a card with this image I used it to make a flyer to e-mail out about the Pampered Chef Cooking Show I’m hosting November 6th for my sweet friend Darla.

I actually got some stamping done today and it felt great!  Now if I can just get some pictures taken I will actually have a few cards to share this week and I will have a challenge for you to play also – so stay tuned!
