Frills
Have you seen the Doodlebug Paper Frills yet? Omigosh they are sooooo cool!!! And they are way bigger than I had pictured. I decided to start with a single color $3.99 package to see what they are like and I was shocked to see that they are a full 12″ long! I decided to go with the Lily White with the thought that I could make them any color with ink and I was right!
On this card I inked the zigzag piece with black Versamagic chalk ink (dtp) and the large red flowers were inked with Versamagic Red Magic chalk ink. The smaller white flowers were individually cut from the small flower strip to make centers for the big flowers. Then I added Diamond Stickles. I outlined the flowers with a black marker to coordinate with the black matting of the main image. These frills are going to be so much fun to work with - so many shapes and endless color possibilties!
The girl in the car is Elle by Rubber Romance. I just love that stamp line! The image was stamped twice - once with black ink on Whisper White cardstock and again on Real Red cardstock with Brilliance Platinum Planet ink. Then the car was cut out and pieced on the white image. The SU cloud template was used with Cool Caribbean ink and a sponge to create the cloud background. The card base is an SU Caribbean long note and it’s wheeled with the Square Pegs jumbo wheel.

Very nice card! I have this stamp and can’t believe I never thought to finish off the back! I usually have her driving into the card. Now I’ve gotta pull her out and play again!

I got some of these from EclecticPaperie a few weeks ago, and they are SO frilly-cool!! I got white too, so I could color, but couldnt resist the pink and green and black!!
